How long have you been doing movies? How did you decide to start making movies?

I have been involved in video production for ten years and felt ready to make my first attempt. I decided this as over the years, while making videos for others, I realized that I was losing the creative part of myself. With this project, I took it back, and whenever I feel like I'm losing it, I will do something new.

 

Why did you do this project?
I did it because I wanted to create something that combines AI and cinematography without looking “fake” . Something of high artistic quality not only in terms of direction, but also musically and choreographically. So AI just work a little bit for us and make the idea “posible”.

 

(If you can say). How much budget did you have to do this project?

It was 3000 euro.

 

Was it self-funded or did you get budget/producers/investors?

The 80% was sel funded. My co-producer the other 20%.

 

How long did it take from the initial idea to being able to release?

It was 12 months.

 

Are you happy with the result?

I am very happy and proud for the final result because it is just what I have in my mind from the beginning. But the main reason I am happy is that I managed to bring together all these great people and make them love this project as much as I do.

 

What phase is this project in right now? Are you in the initial phase of sending it to festivals, middle phase or finishing the circuit?

I am in the initial phase and I have already some selections. 

 

How has your experience been with the festivals so far? Where do you think they should improve?

I am in the beginning and I don’t have complete opinion. Maybe I want the festivals be more active in social media.

 

Normally, filmmakers use many references, favorite directors, favorite movies, etc. Were you inspired by any director or film? If so, tell us your references.

I am inspired by Giorgos Lanthimos. He starts from low and he is on the top.

 

Your favorite movie?

If I have to say a film this is “Dogtooth”  by Giorgos Lanthimos

Do you see yourself making movies in 5 years? Where do you see yourself?

I will only do what pleases me and what allows me to externalize my thoughts. So yes, I will always find something to excite me, even in 5 or 10 years from now.

 

Do you have any other project in mind?

I have something. It is about a short documentary with religious content. 

 

What do you ask for the future? (cinematographically speaking)

I want to always keep my eyes and mind open, and by tuning into the era, transform it into images and convey deep messages.

 

Your best experience in a movie theater?

Just ,“Titanic” !
